Amanda is a new Service Navigator at NeuroNav.
Previously, she has worked as a Support Specialist for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southern California, for four years, at a non-profit organization. She then joined the United States Air Force working within financial management services, for four years, and met her husband during her time serving. After the military, she was able to continue pursuing her dream of getting back into working within the community of individuals with disabilities.
She completed her undergraduate degree at San Francisco State University with the help of her new puppy, Eleanor. Her focus within this degree was communicative disorders within speech, language, and hearing sciences. After, she continued straight into graduate school where she studied Special Education, specializing in mild to moderate support needs. She completed her graduate school coursework in Fall of 2021 and will be taking her masters examination Fall of 2022.
She believes there is deep value in knowledge and being a lifelong learner. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in nature with her family, photography, cooking, and existing by the ocean as much as possible.
