Business Operations Specialist

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Business Operations Specialist to supercharge our growth. You will take ownership of a variety of work streams that deal with important operations functions, such as accounting, business strategy, and development. Your primary responsibility will be managing our accounts (balance sheet, invoices, etc.), with additional responsibilities in optimizing internal operations. 

What We’re Looking For

To perform well in this role you should have experience in accounting, finance/consulting, or project management and thrive in a fast paced, agile environment. We are looking for efficient problem solvers that have a passion for making change in this space and reducing inefficiencies.

Essential Functions

  • Managing the Company’s books, ensuring invoice are received and bills are paid in a timely manner

  • Creating strategic budgets for the company, and working with investors on reporting metrics.

  • Working with lawyers to ensure good legal standing and working with accountants to manage taxes.

  • Developing and maintaining HR policies for a growing company

  • Ensuring accurate payroll and onboarding employees into payroll system

  • Assisting with project management tasks to assist the growing needs of the business

  • Work on strategic growth projects with the founder

  • Monitor financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability

  • Lead relationships across departments to identify and remedy inefficiencies

Your Background 

  • Understanding of basic finance/accounting skills (e.g. understanding GAAP)

  • Experience working w/ Quickbooks or other accounting Software

  • Timely, Organized (past experience in Project Management a plus)

  • Agile thinker and problem solver (experience in BizOps or startups also a plus)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)

  • Ability to organize work effectively

  • Excited about creating an impact in the DD space

  • Must have computer and reliable high-speed internet connection

Position Type, Salary, & Schedule

This is a full-time position
 

Compensation: $55,000-70,000/year plus benefits (paid time off, a stipend for health, vision, and dental insurance, 401k, life insurance, and the ability to work from home)

The work schedule for this position is generally Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm (PST) with occasional work on evenings and weekends.
